so cute and so perfect! i just love all my twins art! They come home from challenger with the cutest paintings and pictures...I can't bring myself to get rid of any of them...i have a huge stack but i love all of them. I love the kids creativity. Lovin that witch. So great! Hey thanks for the dinner invite over conference, we were out of town. Let's get together soon.
Emily...that's one tiny detail I loved about Challenger. I'm guessing they must have taught the kids to draw their artwork with magic marker first, then do the watercolor. It just makes for brighter and more defined art!
Oh Tiffany I think I'm in love! This is the cutest witch I have ever seen! She is absolutely perfect! What a treasure! Those would make the cutest Halloween cards! A keeper for sure!
Just me, fearless mother of 3 boys and 2 girls....and wife to one perfect husband.

Me: "Guys, where's Thomas?"
Elizabeth: "He's hiding. He thinks you're rude. But you're not. You're just fine. He thinks you're mean, but you're really nice. It's just that you lose your patience sometimes."
Uh, thanks for that. . . ? (10/09)

At dinner one night, Adam was telling us about one of his favorite "Far Side" cartoons. Adam described the scene: barbarians sitting at a meal, holding their food in their fists. Apparently one of them committed a barbarian "fox pass", by extending his pinkies while eating. A fox pass?
With the occasional Far Side cartoon that throws us for a loop, we could not figure out what on earth Adam was talking about. After rolling it around in our brains for a second, we had a good laugh when we figured out he was trying to say, "faux pas". (9/09)

Walking out of Energy Solutions Arena on 9/25/09:
Elizabeth (4): Mom, I have a really good idea for how you can earn money. Me: You do? What's your idea? Elizabeth: You have to get an instrument, learn how to play it, sit outside, and people give you money!"
***
"I'm going to open the window and see what the world looks like today." Joshua (9/26/09)
***
"Mom, I think we should clean out the storage room again together today." -Elizabeth (yes, she really said that).
***
Elizabeth came in to talk to me, close to tears. "Mom, remember when we were at Grandma Johnson's house (months ago) and you found that gray hair? Well, I don't want you to be an old grandma, I want you to be my mommy."
***
Thomas: "Mom, why do you keep turning off your alarm clock instead of just getting up?" Me: (thinking) "Ugghh.....that's a really good question."
***
"Mom, you've been on the computer for a long time. I want you to, like, get your wiggles out and come play with me." Elizabeth (4)
***
Elizabeth came upstairs to explain a great chaos of crying and shouting going on down in the basement: "We're learning karate, and I didn't even get hurt!"
***
"I thought it was honey." -On a hike with Thomas (6), who was explaining why he had pine sap all over his hands and face. He subsequently admitted to sampling a bit of the golden substance.
***
"I'll bring some tissues in case we sneeze." Elizabeth, busily preparing for a mommy-daughter tea party outside.
***
(At the ward campout) Joshua (8): "This is the best bacon I've ever had!"
Me: "Why is it so good?"
Joshua: "Because it isn't burned."
***
Thomas came running home from his friend's house, all excited. "Mom, Carson just invited me to go to the pool with him!"
Me: "That's awesome!"
Thomas: "I guess life IS fair after all."
***
Elizabeth (4) and Adam (10), stuck together at the kitchen table because they wouldn't eat their dinner.
Elizabeth: Adam, do you like chicken? Vegetarian Adam (sullenly): Yes, in a cosmic sense. Later... Adam: Elizabeth, if you eat my chicken I'll eat your carrots. Mom: Sorry, doesn't work that way, guys.
***
Elizabeth (after the sacrament was passed): Mom, why do they only send bread and water? Me: Because that's what the sacrament is, bread and water. Elizabeth: I wish they'd send bread, water, and watermelon.

What an artist you have on your hands. I think I was still using lines for legs and arms at his age. Way to go Thomas.

Adorable! (Not necessarily what a little boy wants to hear. )
outstanding!
she needs a book written about her.
This seriously looks like something from a children's book. I love it!
